♔ Kjrsos Dressage Study | A Demanding Commitment
This level of riding is not a requirement of Kjrsos. It requires a horse and rider that can work together maybe for years. Work every single day with perhaps an occasional day off, where the horse becomes the ultimate athlete, at the very top of their athletic ability. Systematically built up, so that bone, muscle and sinew can support the excessive demands of this level.
It is presented here for those who feel they want to make the effort, knowing that this is a long journey, one for whatever reason your horse might not be able to complete. But this is never about completion. It is always about the journey.
While this may not be part of your journey, this area of study is invaluable if it can help you realize that the journey is in some ways a straight line. How we can build up each element which naturally leads to the next.
This study is especially invaluable to realize when certain aspects of horsemanship, that many people try to force during the beginning of their interaction with their horses, not realizing that certain elements are not things you train, they just are. They come into being when all that came before have been created correctly.
To think otherwise is not to understand what these elements are. Where they come from. And where they live in the horse's body.
Full access to all courses and classes are assigned as per your Kjrsos Guide
Today we focus on the pirouettes that exist in either end of the horse, somehow we have forgotten the joys when a pirouette exists in the middle.
Learning what the full pass can bring us that the half pass can't. Limitations that exist in half pass that don't exist in full pass help us utilize this movement to create sequences that so helpfully help us access the horse's body.
Passage can be fun but is wrought with difficulty because it seems easy to achieve yet with that ease so much wrong can be introduced to the horse's body.
Piaffe when done right is a moment where more options exist at any other moment. A time where more possibilities exist than at any other point of time and anything else that we do with our horses.
This is not something you do, this is something you find. You can find it because it now exists. All the work that you have done to now, creating a horse that is now balanced, equal, in carriage, in flexibility, in bend. Equal capabilities gives you straightness. Here we discuss how you got here.
It is in preparation that collected walk is created. Of any other movement a true collected walk that allows no restrictions anywhere in the horse is probably of every movement the most difficult and hence is left to the very end with the hope that in this attempt we will not undo all that we have tried to do in preserving full access to the body of the horse.
