What Lives in our Heart
The first lesson of what we can put in our hearts so that our heart space is something that the horse responds to when he meets us.
When watching someone work with horses, it can be confusing. The message that we take out of watching is usually, do this like this, and that should never be the answer.
Aspirational: A strong desire for something
Here at Kjrsos we are aspirational. Driven to a purpose that has overtaken our lives.
An aspiration that makes us feel hopeful, joyful, as well as giving us a sense of peace.
An aspiration for a transformation where we bring health and joy and maybe even a form of love to this earth, to our lives, and to the lives of those who share this space with us.
I stepped onto the property and I could feel it right away. Think butterflies and flowers, a warm spring day, a warmth and a gentleness that nourishes the spirit and I knew at that moment that someone very special lived here. And from that moment forward I felt I was with someone who I felt was unique, special for what she could do.
There has long been a debate on the influence of violence in video games and in the media we consume. And this is not what we are about to address. At least not in that we are advocating for or against. Although to some it may seem so at first.
But speaks instead into what we want to be able to bring in from outside of ourselves and speaks to what we want to find inside and how the two relate.
Best if We Can Raise Our Heart Space Before We Approach the Horse
The challenge to us as participants and guides is how and what can we do, what can we suggest, what Experience can we suggest that can help raise our heart space to a higher loving level. Find a place of sweet peace, of a gentle joy that we can bring into our heart and have it stay for awhile.
The barn is where we have those who understand who and what we are.
Others that are instantly friends as we are bonded by our love of horses. So it makes sense that for many the barn and the arena is a place of social integration.
That might work for you, but it doesn't necessarily work for the work you are doing with your horses.
We started this conversation pages ago talking about video games and a point that I wanted to make. A realization that I have come to realize as I spend many more hours not working then working as I try to find the inspiration, the joy, so that I can do this next job that I have accepted. And the realization is that if I don't want thoughts of negativitly, of violence, of harsh thoughts, silent ruminations of what I could have said if only I had thought of it at the time, then I have to be careful to what I allow to exist in my days.
